Update: Key Themes For 2021
Monday, 11th January 2021
Webinar :30 London GMT :30 Dubai GST
In this webinar, we will lay out the key themes that we believe are likely to characterise the Middle East & North Africa region in 2021.
Broadly speaking, we expect regional economic activity will pick up next year, as the worst of the Covid-19 crisis passes with the introduction of vaccines. However, the pace of the recovery will vary markedly across MENA, determined by factors such as the pace of vaccine distribution and local authorities’ economic policy flexibility. Meanwhile, with Joe Biden set to become the next US president, we expect significant shifts in US policy towards the region in 2021, which could have major implications for countries like Iran and the GCC states.
Topics covered will include:
- Regional growth outlook for 2021
- Prospects for Covid-19 vaccine distribution across MENA
- Outlook for oil prices and implications for regional oil producers
- Impact of a Biden presidency on US-MENA relationships
